DISPLAY CABIN OPEN DAY On 4th December 2011 our display cabin was thrown open. The day was attended by many interested people including the Scenic Rim's Mayor John Brent.

Welcome to Maroon Cove, a cabin village soon to be built on the edge of beautiful Lake Maroon, the best kept secret for water skiing, fishing and relaxing in the beautiful Scenic Rim. Lake Maroon is situated about 90 minutes drive from Brisbane and 60 minutes from the Gold Coast in South East Queensland (SEQ), not far from Moogerah Dam.

Lake Maroon Holiday Park operates a sucessful holiday accomodation business at Lake Maroon. For some time now we have been aware that many guests would like to stay in cabins, and some would like to own their own cabin. We are now in the final stages of obtaining construction approvals from local government. The concept is to construct 100 cabins that will be sold to families, waterskiers, and fishermen for holidays and weekends. The cabins can also be rented out, through Lake Maroon Holiday Park, to help offset the cost of purchasing the cabins.

How will it work?

You will be able to select a site and you will also have a couple of cabin designs and sizes available to choose from. There will be some designs that will not be available on certain sites because of the land shape, the 6 star energy rating requirements and the orientation to the views. We expect the starting price for cabins to be under $100K. You will actually own the cabin, however the cabin site is rented from Lake Maroon Holiday Park. At this time we estimate the weekly site rent to be $66 per week.

ENJOY YOUR OWN LAKESIDE CABIN IN THE BEAUTIFUL SCENIC RIM!

The cabins are short term tourist accomodation, you cannot live there permanently. You can stay for up to 12 weeks in the cabin, and then you will need to live elsewhere for 4 weeks before returning for up to another 12 weeks. You can rent out your cabin continously 52 weeks a year as long as no one stays more than 12 weeks (then has 4 week break).

You can rent your cabin out through Lake Maroon Holiday Park. You control when your cabin is available, and at the price that you decide to set. Lake Maroon Holiday Park will advertise, maintain an online booking sytem, and book in your guests on arrival. We will also book them out and ensure you property is managed professionally.

This is not timeshare. You own the cabin and may sell the cabin to who ever you like, as long as they enter into a contract to abide by the Park Rules. The ownership and tenure protection for the cabins is ensured by the Manufactured Homes (Residential Parks) Act 2003 (Qld State Law). This sets out you protections and your rights when you buy a cabin in our park.

Lake Maroon Holiday Park has operated for over 5 years and in that time has developed a set of Park Rules that ensure everyone is able to enjoy themselves without annoying other guests. We will also have a few additional rules in relation to the cabins to ensure everyones investment is protected.
